Text Box: Sometimes during the year bringing back library items does not happen completely on time. At those instances you may acquire a fine that attaches itself to your library card until such a time as you can pay it off.
The MVLD takes this special holiday season between Thanksgiving and Christmas to help our membership and our community’s needy.
For every $1.00 of fines on your library card, you can bring in one non-perishable item - canned good, hygiene product - or a new toy for a child and have your fines forgiven. This special can only be used on fines on overdue items. It does not pertain to payment for unreturned items or processing charges that have been accessed
The products and the toys that are collected throughout the month will be given to the Collinsville Pantry to be distributed throughout the area.
‘Food for Fines’ and ’Toys for Children’ will begin on November 23rd and end on December 20th.
Text Box: Refreshments will be served

Text Box: Possible Library Branch in Fairmont City

Looking at a glazed block building on Maple and 36th Street as a possible location for a library in Fairmont City. If you live there and think that it would be a good location, please let your City Council know. The library and the city need to know that you are interested!
