Text Box: The Collinsville Library has been selected to be part of a traveling exhibit on Art & Architecture in Illinois through a grant from the IL State Library.  
The exhibit will have a traveling display of photographs and hands on activities and will be in the Library from October 7th  -November 3rd..
The Mondays in October will each have a distinct aspect of art.
Oct 1	Children’s Art in the Children’s Library
Oct 15	Balloon Sculpture with Rick Brammer, balloonist, will help you learn how to make various balloon sculptures.  This is a great hobby that could lead you to extra cash!  Class open to

Text Box: Old Time Radio Show—a ‘meet and greet' on the First Friday of every month for  adults. There are donuts, juice and coffee - checkers - a radio program - cards - and a lot of good conversation.
Storytimes– Preschool children enjoy stories and crafts
Children’s All Day Craft—Staged in the children’s library is an all day craft for children and their helpers.
Mother Daughter Book Club— For Parent and Child discussion of a selected book.
Computer Classes– All classes last 1 1/2 hours and are completely free. Call 344-1112 to register
Knitting Club at the Blum House-The St. Clair Fiber Guild will be meeting on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Blum House (414 West Main St) adjacent to the Library.  This organization welcomes all levels of crafters who do knitting crocheting, spinning, weaving, basket weaving, etc. to come by and participate in these get togethers.
Pokemon Card Club—Beginner's Card Club.  Bring your own deck of Pokemon Cards. 
HGCC—History and Genealogy Club of Collinsville
Blum House Book Club –Meets monthly to discuss specific adult book titles.

Oct 22      Picasso Night—Family Program in the Library Community Room. Enter the "studio" and create your own masterpiece.  All art supplies provided. Easels will be set up around "still life".

Oct 29      Take yourself on a self-walking tour of the art in the library. Visit the "Art and Architecture in Illinois Libraries" display and interactive exhibit. Examine olds records including:
A Historical Survey of the City of Collinsville
1911-1912 Collinsville City Directory
Combined 1873, 1892, and 1906 Atlases of Madison County and other Collinsville history items.
Dessert & Punch reception.

This will be an exhibit worth your time.
